Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your Lodge

Day 1: Arrival

When you arrive in Uganda, our company representative will be there to greet you, inform you of the many sites to be visited during the safari, and hand you the appropriate documentation (chimp and gorilla permits or receipts) relevant to this safari. Drive to a hotel in Kampala so that you can relax, eat, and get ready for the safari to start.

Depending on the arrival time, you can opt for a Kampala city tour to explore the city of 7 hills before returning to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National park

Day 2: Drive to Kibale National park

Breakfast and travel to Kibale Forest National Park, where you will get the opportunity to see one of the largest chimp tribes ever seen. This national park is home to over 13 species of primates, including chimps, L’Hoests monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and many others, as well as elephants, buffaloes, giant forest hogs, sitatunga, duikers, bushbucks, leopards, and many more. This National Park also has around 350 bird species.

The journey takes around 6-7 hours before arrival in Kibale. Upon arrival, Prepare for your unforgettable chimp trekking adventure by dressing appropriately and bringing adequate drinking water and food before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing. After your briefing, you will be split into groups of 6 individuals and head out into the forest to look for the chimpanzees. On locating them, you will spend one hour in their midst before returning to the starting point and a transfer to your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, depart Kibale Forest for Bwindi Forest, passing through the breathtaking Queen Elizabeth National Park. Lunch will be served on the way, and you will arrive in the evening in one of the four gorilla trekking sectors/regions of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for supper and an overnight stay.

Day 12: Bwindi Gorilla trekking

This is an unique day appreciating the magnificent mountain gorillas. Going gorilla trekking in Bwindi’s steep forested landscapes is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that will leave you with lasting memories. You meet at the park headquarters in the morning at 8 a.m. for a briefing and to be assigned to one of the gorilla families to track. The experience lasts 2–8 hours, depending on gorilla movements, and you will have one hour to interact directly with the gorillas. When you approach a gorilla, their reaction is unpredictable. They may give you a friendly greeting, or they may ignore you and charge at you. Retreat from the activity and embark on the transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National park through fascinating Kigezi Highlands where locals apply terracing methods to cultivate their slopes deriving impressive scenic landscapes. You arrive at your lodge and proceed for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National park in Rwanda

After breakfast, check out of the resort and proceed to Volcanoes National Park, which is home to the unique and endangered mountain gorillas. Views of stunning scenery, water features, and plantations in the countryside are included in the transfer. Document verification will be placed at the intriguing body post as you make your way to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

At daybreak, you will leave the coziness of your bed for breakfast and registration at the park headquarters. This is followed by a briefing by park rangers, who explain the trekking dos and don’ts and assign individuals to the various gorilla families.

The voyage gains momentum from the spot where the apes were last seen, following the footprints, sound, and broken tree branches to the location where they will be located. A quicker trekker takes less than 7 hours to discover the apes, then spends an extra hour taking photographs, studying the apes, and sleeping. Following that, you will return to the lodge for certificates, refreshments, lunch, supper, and sleep.

Day 7: Flight to Nairobi

After your Uganda and Rwanda experience, you have to proceed to the wonderful land of wildlife but before that, you leave your lodge and proceed for a Kigali genocide tour before proceeding to the airport for your transfer to Nairobi. On arrival in Nairobi, a driver will be waiting for you at the airport. He will welcome you to Kenya and then take you to the hotel for check-in and refreshments.

Day 8: Transfer to Masai Mara

After having your early breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and head for an early morning game drive to encounter more wildlife of the famous Nairobi National park before proceeding to flying to Masai Mara exploring Greater Masai Mara – Africa’s finest game viewing region from an eco-friendly bush camp. Up on arrival, relax at your lodge as you await the next adventure!

Day 9: Masai Mara Exploration

After your early morning breakfast, you will leave with your picnic lunch for a full day game drive in the reserve in search of the big five as well as other numerous plain animals. You will have a lunch break in the reserve after which continue with your game drive till evening when you will return to your campsite for dinner and overnight.

You will have an opportunity to see Lion Cheetah and Leopard roam the vast grasslands in search of their next meal. It may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small one like the warthog. Whatever the players. The spectacle of nature unfolding is always awe inspiring!

Day 10: Full day Maasai Mara exploration (Hot hair balloon)

Day 10: Maasai Mara Hot Air Balloon Safari

Your second day of Maasai Mara game viewing will include hot air balloon rides or guided bush walks with more sights of the reserve’s animals and bird species. Expect to observe leopards or lions hunting in the long grass, lone Cape buffaloes, lions mating, and a variety of other sightings. Return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on a cultural trip via Maasai communities and villages to witness their energizing cultural dances and explore their traditional homesteads, among other things.

Day 11: Transfer to Serengeti

Day 11: Transfer to Serengeti

Transfer via aircraft to Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. This park is one of the main reasons that people travel to Tanzania. It entices visitors with beautiful fauna and other significant attractions.

Check in at the lodge as soon as you arrive.

You can opt to unwind at the lodge or go on an evening drive for breathtaking sights.

You will have your splendid breakfast before checking out for the day’s encounter. After checking out, go on a full-day game drive to observe the park’s many wild species, including the African big five, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, and many more.

Following that, return to the lodge for supper and an overnight stay.

After a delicious breakfast, go on a walking safari to see additional wildlife, including lion prides, spotted hyenas, leopards, elephants, Cape buffaloes, impalas, Defassa waterbuck, Rothschild giraffes, cheetahs, common elands, and many more. Return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy a visit to a local Maasai village or community for another taste of adventure and discovery before returning to your lodge.

Day 14: Transfer to Arusha International airport

You will wake up early in the morning, eat breakfast, and then drive across the beautiful plains from Serengeti to Arusha.

After lunch, your driver will transport you off at Arusha Airport for your trip back home.
