This two days gorilla tour will start in Rwanda, where you will transfer to Virunga National park in Democratic republic of Congo via Uganda’s Chanika border. The park has five families of gorillas with three groups most tracked.

DAY 1: Transfer from Kigali to Kisoro, a bordertown in Uganda

You will be picked by the driver/guide and transfer to Kisoro on Uganda boarder, a voyage that will take you through a grand perspective of delightful Rwanda’s rolling slopes passing by means of Ruhengeri in northern part of Rwanda and proceeding to Chanika guest. Finish border arrangements and cross into Uganda. You may have guided nature walk, visit the common, lovely looking Lake Mutanda, encompassed by the volcanoes; go out for a stroll on the shores. Supper and medium-term remain at Travelers Rest Hotel/Kisoro Tourist Hotel.

DAY 2: Gorilla tracking in Virunga

Cross Bunagana outskirt and drive to the Park Headquarters to be informed about gorilla tracking rules and regulations before setting off into the forest to track gorillas in Parc National des Virunga of Congo for the inconceivable experience. When searching for the Mountain Gorillas, you will be exposed to phenomenal birding and primates like the Golden Monkeys, Blue Monkeys, Black and White colobus monkey, and mammoth timberland swines among others. You have up to one hour for perception and photography with these incredible primates. Gorilla tracking through the woodland, slopes and marshes can be intense, strenuous and tiring, and sometimes it takes up to 8 hours in the forest. In any case, encountering the incredible primates is worth the efforts. Come back to Kisoro in Uganda, and after refreshments at the hotel, set off back to Kigali in Rwanda reaching  at night and leave

Best time to go

The best wildlife viewing months in Uganda are during the Dry seasons from June to August and December to February. Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Rwanda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet, and one can’t avoid rain completely.
