The 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Wildlife Safari is a blend of wildlife and gorilla experience.

It features the most popular Uganda Safari destination of Queen Elizabeth National Park with its counts of wild game including the lions both land dwelling and tree climbing, African elephants, and the Cape Buffaloes.

Other animals include; the Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, spotted hyena, leopards, side stripped jackals, the aquatics of Kazinga Channel where one of the world’s biggest concentration of Hippos occur and the Nile Crocodile which is the second largest reptile on the world scale.

The Safari also features Mountain gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a habitat with a minimum of 400 mountain gorillas which is close to a half of the 880 numbers that are known to thrive in the world. 

The magical hills offer impressive scenery and sightseeing experience. The recreation encounter on Lake Bunyonyi known as the Lake of a thousand Islands because of its 29 Islands presents moments of rejuvenation following a day long gorilla trekking experience.

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

The Uganda gorilla trek and Wildlife safari starts early in the morning at 6:30am from your place of residence after breakfast, with the safari guide picking you up to head to Queen Elizabeth National Park , 417km about 7 hours’ drive in the southwest of Uganda.

You will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe, get to know interesting facts about the 0o line and take photos to create memories that last a lifetime, thereafter proceed to the Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in time for lunch.

Depending on the arrival time, You will  go for the launch cruise on the amazing Kazinga channel, expect to see herds of buffaloes, hippos, elephants, crocodiles and a variety of bird species especially the kingfishers, cormorants, egrets and others.

You retreat from the boat cruise and do an evening game drive along the Channel track to explore wild game in their evening moments.

Continue to the lodge for overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi

Day 2:  Short game drive before proceeding to Bwindi

The day starts with breakfast, then embark on an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track and Queen’s mile in the park. Expect to see cape Buffaloes, Elephants Topi, Kobs, Warthogs, Waterbucks, Hyena, Leopards, as well as the lions and lots of Birds.

After the game drive, embark on the trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha.

Keep an eye out for a chance to spot the tree climbing lions found in this section.

Ishasha also supports Buffaloes, Elephants, Waterbucks and Kobs which can be viewed en route to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Go gorilla trekking in Bwindi and then relax at Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 3:  Go gorilla trekking in Bwindi and then relax at Lake Bunyonyi.

This is a special day to honor the magnificent mountain gorillas. Going gorilla trekking in the impenetrable forest of Bwindi is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will leave you with lasting memories.

You meet at the respective park headquarters at 8 a.m. for a briefing, and you are also assigned gorilla families to track. The interaction lasts 2 – 8 hours, depending on the gorilla movements, and you have one hour to interact directly with the gorillas.

Retire from the operation and travel to Lake Bunyonyi through the fascinating Kigezi Highlands, where locals use the terracing method to cultivate their slopes, resulting in an impressive scenic landscape. Take a relaxing boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi while taking in the sights and sounds of the area.

Day 4: Depart Lake Bunyonyi for Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight.

Day 4: Depart Bunyonyi for Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight.

You will have a leisurely breakfast before departing for Entebbe via Mbarara and stopping at Igongo Cultural Center for lunch (traditional dishes), but you will also have the option to visit the cultural museum here before continuing your journey to Kampala. You should make an en-route stopover at the Equator (if time allows) for more pictures and to browse the gift shops for mementos of your Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari.

Check into your Kampala hotel or take a transfer to the airport if you are flying out later that day.
