Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kibale
After early breakfast, Leave Kampala for a half-day drive west via Mityana to Fort Portal through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale Forest National Park just under the Rwenzori Mountains as you pass through verdant countryside and traditional homesteads and farms.
A stopover in Fort Portal for lunch. Thereafter drive at your Leisure to Kibale.
Day 2: Go Chimp trekking in Kibale
Start the day with an early breakfast. Drive to Kanyanchu Research Centre for briefing and then go for a fascinating experience with the Chimpanzees which starts at 08hr00.
A half-day search for chimpanzees and other primates including photos of, Red-Colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey-cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies, and many small insects.
The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is informative and enjoyable for viewing bird life and primates in close quarters.
Afternoon nature walks in Bigodi swamp an initiative of the local community. The swamp is known for its rich diversity of its bird life including the rare shoebill stork.
Day 3: Depart KIbale for Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight.
You will have a leisurely breakfast before departing for Entebbe where you arrive in the late afternoon before Checking into your Kampala hotel or take a transfer to the airport if you are flying out later that day.
