8 Days South Sudan Exclusive Cultural Safari

Day 1: Arrival at Juba International Airport.

Arriving at Juba International Airport on Day 1. Our English-speaking guide will meet you and escort you to the hotel. Day of rest and preparation. Overnight stay in a hotel with meals included.

Day 2: Leave from Buya Hills after breakfast (4 hours drive). Evening view of beautiful scenery and authentic traditional buildings placed right at the foothills with the Larim people. Meals are supplied while camping in the village.

Day 3: Morning encounter with the Larim.

After breakfast, pack your belongings and drive to Kapoeta Town, the capital of the Toposa people (1 hr drive). Relax at the 8 hotel upon arrival while the guide clears permits with the authorities. Later, around 1 p.m. local time, we drive to the Toposa settlements (2 hours). Nite encounters with the Toposa. Tent camping in the village with dinner supplied.

Day 4: Morning encounter with the Larim.

After breakfast, you will collect your belongings and leave for Toposa Territory. (1 hour and 30 minutes driving). Upon arrival in Kapoeta Town, the major active town of the Toposa people and a gold dealer market. You’ll check into the kuleo Hotel to unwind and eat lunch while the guide meets with some authorities to clarify things up. Following that, you will travel to one of the most traditional Toposa villages in Kenya ( 2 hours drive). Evening and morning encounters with Toposa traditional dancers and other ceremonies. If you’re lucky, you might come across traditional marriages and initiation rites. Overnight tent camping with meals provided

Day 5: Early morning hike to see the dawn and the Lotuko people’s early activities. Lotuko is a settlement located in the middle of the hills. We’ll hike around 20 minutes to the top of the village. We eat breakfast after coming back to camp, then pack and travel to Juba. When we get in Juba, we check into our hotel, have a refreshing shower, and charge our equipment. Stay in the hotel with dinner provided.

Day 6: Following breakfast, we head for the Mundari cattle camp. We will only have a few activities till the cattle return from grazing field in the evening, so you will have the best opportunity to meet amazing folks who have a close bond with their cattle. Overnight in tents with food provided.

Day 7: Spend the entire day seeing the Mundari way of life with their livestock. And if there is a wrestling competition in the region throughout the day, we will walk to see it. (There are no big hopes for the game). Today is a good day to learn more about Mundari livestock herders. Nights in the tents with meals supplied.

Day 8: Morning experience and last Mundari photographs. After breakfast, drive back to Juba. The hotel used to shower and have lunch at check-in for the day. You will then be dropped off to Juba International Airport to fly to your next destination. The journey has come to an end.
