Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation.

Day 1: Pick Up From Entebbe Airport

Upon your arrival at the airport, the guide will meet you and you will be taken to your booked lodge in Kampala and relax for the rest of the day, as you prepare to start your safari the next day. You can opt for a small city tour depending on the time of arrival.

Day 2: Transfer To Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park (3 Hours’ drive) with a stop at the equator for photographs. Expect en route game viewing with animals such as Zebra, Impala, and Eland and other Savannah species and birds like African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, and so on. After lunch, take an afternoon Boat trip on Lake Mburo to see hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and variety of bird species including the rare shoe bill stork.

Day 3: Lake Mburo – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest:

Home to 400+ endangered Mountain Gorillas

Wake up early for a morning game drive to catch up with early raisers and predators returning to the hide outs, return to the lodge for full breakfast and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National park with en route game viewing. The journey goes through beautiful views of Kigezi Hills, “the Switzerland of Africa”, have picnic lunch en route and relax in the evening as we wait for dinner.

Day 4: Gorilla tracking Adventure

This is a special day dedicated for the impressive mountain gorillas. Undertaking the gorilla trekking experience in the impenetrable forest of Bwindi is such a life time endeavor that will create lasting memories.

You gather at the respective park headquarters for briefing in the morning at 8am where you are also allocated the respective gorilla families to track. The encounter takes 2 – 8 hours depending on the gorilla movements and one hour is availed to you to have a direct touch with the gorillas.

Retreat from the activity and embark on the transfer to Lake Bunyonyi driving through fascinating Kigezi Highlands where locals apply terracing method to cultivate their slopes deriving impressive scenic landscape. Take a nice and calm boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi as you enjoy he sights and sounds around the lake.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After having your early morning breakfast, you will check out of your accommodation and embark on your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey to Queen Elizabeth NP will take you through Ishasha sector known for the tree climbing lions as you proceed to the lodging of your choice in Ishasha or around the Mweya peninsular of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After having your lunch and some relaxation, you will embark on a remarkable afternoon game drive in search of the parks mammals including lions, leopards, elephants, hyenas, bush pigs, monkeys, warthogs, antelopes of different kinds. Retreat from this activity and return to your favorite lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Full day tour activities in Queen Elizabeth Park

Wake up very early and prepare for a morning game drive in the Park. Expect to see the 4 of the famous Big Five animals, look out for Elephant, Buffalos, Lions, Kobs, Warthogs, Hyenas, different savanna and or forest bird species.

Head back to your lodge, have your breakfast, relax or take a stroll around as you take some photos.  In the afternoon you will go for the launch cruise on the amazing Kazinga channel, expect to see herds of buffaloes, hippos, elephants, crocodiles and a variety of bird species especially the kingfishers, cormorants, egrets and others.

You will return to your accommodation facility for dinner and a quiet evening in the midst of the African Savannah.

Day 7: Transfer to Kibale forest National Park

After breakfast,  you will check out of you lodge and embark on the journey to Kibale National Park.  You will have lunch en route.
This park is popular for its primates like the chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, red-cheeked monkeys and red-tailed monkeys. On your chimpanzee trails, these are regularly seen swinging in the forest trees and others feeding on the wild fruits. You will reach and do little but check into your accommodation where you will have dinner and the overnight rest.

Day 8: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park

Have breakfast and connect to Uganda’s biggest national park: Murchison falls National Park, arrive by afternoon, have lunch and drive to the top of the falls where the park derives its name. Here you will see the calm Nile forcing itself through a narrow gorge of 7 meters wide to fall a distance of about 150 ft down producing a thunderous roar of whitewater- incredible scenery.

Day 9: Full Day tour activities in Murchison Falls Park

Take a cup of tea/coffee and go for an early morning game drive before dawn to catch up with predators and early risers. Expect animals such as jackals, Lions, Leopards, spotted hyenas, giraffe, antelope, elephant, Buffaloes, Uganda kob and many more.

You will retire from the game drive for late breakfast and lunch and then in the afternoon you will go for a Boat ride on the Victoria Nile. The boat trip will take you to the bottom of the falls where you will view animals like the buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and plenty of water birds like fish eagles and rare shoe bill stork and many more.

Day 10: Transfer to Jinja & visit the source of the Nile

Wake up to another beautiful day in the wild, have your breakfast and then transfer to Jinja were you will arrive in time for lunch. You will have a stopover at the Zziwa Rhino sanctuary for the Rhino tracking experience and after you will proceed to Jinja and then visit the source of the Nile.

Day 11: Drive Back to Kampala

    Best time to go

    The best wildlife viewing months in Uganda are during the Dry seasons from June to August and December to February.

    Primate walks in the forest are a big part of any safari in Rwanda. The habitat of rainforests is, by default, very wet, and one can’t avoid rain completely.

    Uganda Gorilla Permits costs
