Upon your arrival in Uganda, our professional and friendly driver guide will pick you up from the airport, your hotel or place of residence in Kampala where you will be met by our guide. Then, you will transfer to North-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town, branch off for a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here you’ll go for a guided rhino walk and picnic lunch before continuing to Murchison Falls where you start being embraced by the scenery of the park. You shall later embark on a hike to the top of the falls as you experience one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world.
You get to check out the narrow gorge of 7 meters wide, because of its steepness, it drops violently into the waterfalls, falling 43 meters. After this exciting encounter, you shall proceed to your accommodation where you shall have dinner and overnight as you await tomorrows adventure.
After your morning breakfast, you’ll set off for an early morning game drive for possible sights of elephants, lions, Cape buffalos, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, hyenas and if you are lucky, the leopards. There is quite a lot to sightsee here in Murchison falls National park, so, prepare your camera and phones ready for some amazing pictures. You’ll return to the hotel for lunch or have lunch at the park.
After lunch, you’ll go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. En route, you’ll marvel at the toothsome hippos and crocodiles. Watch out for possible sights of elephants, waterbucks, Uganda kobs and crocodiles. This is also a zone of many bird species like the Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. There you will leave the boat and start your quite heavy hike to the top of the falls (approximately 1 hour). You’ll return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight pending to morrows further excitement.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. You shall have an early morning breakfast, before yet another fascinating game drive to see some of the other animals you missed yesterday and the first day – maybe you shall still see the same animals. After that, you shall then proceed with a drive back to Kampala at your convenience with lunch en route. You will arrive in the afternoon or early evening before our guide drops you at your hotel of residence in Kampala or at Entebbe Airport to catch up with your flight back home or to your next destination.
