3 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking from Kigali

Immediately following your arrival, you will have a meet-and-greet with your tour driver guide at the Kigali International Airport or any location of choice in Kigali, where you will also be briefed regarding your safari. Afterward, you may opt for a Kigali city tour to experience the cleanest city of Kigali, proceed to the Kigali Genocide memorial museum to learn more about the Rwanda historic genocide that dates back to 1997. After that, you shall drive towards Bwindi through the Gatuna-Katuna border to meet the exciting endangered mountain gorillas. Upon arrival in Bwindi, proceed to your lodge for a relaxation as you await tomorrow’s adventure.

Following the morning wake-up call and breakfast, you will be required to go to the park headquarters in order to get gorilla trekking briefings from the Bwindi National Park rangers. After the briefing, you shall be divided into a group of 8 trackers before you are allocated a gorilla family. Embark on a trail in search of the gorillas, looking left and right you will have views of other primates like colobus monkeys as well as colorful bird species like the turaco, casqued horn bill among others. Upon locating the gorilla family, you will have one magical hour to study and learn about the gorillas. Watch them feed, groom, mate and play with each other and take as many pictures as possible.

After spending an hour in their company, you will go back to the starting point where you are a warded a Gorilla Tracking Certificate before you transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxation with breathtaking views of the surrounding as well as explore the thousand islands of the lake on a sun downer boat ride/canoe.

Following a hearty breakfast served bright and early in the morning, you will be transferred back to Kigali in time for your departure flight. You may be dropped at your hotel of choice in Kigali or at the Kigali International Airport.
